About this opportunity

This is a Sources Sought notice for a potential contract opportunity to provide silver stripping, inspection, and silver plating services for aircraft components. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking information from potential sources, including small businesses, to assist in determining the best acquisition strategy. The services would be procured through a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement under the proposed NAICS code 332813 (Electroplating, Plating, Polishing, Anodizing, and Coloring). Interested parties are requested to respond by October 7, 2024 with details on their small business status, teaming arrangements, and similar services provided to the government and commercial customers over the past three years. The government will use this information to evaluate the potential for a competitive and/or small business set-aside procurement.

The procurement does not have a set-aside designation, and the government is interested in responses from all small business concerns, including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small businesses. No incumbent contractor information is provided. The annual quantities and part descriptions are detailed in the attached Performance Work Statement, but specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed.
