About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is conducting a Sources Sought Notice for the Stryker Strykshield, a specific vehicular component with National Stock Number 2540-01-579-4357. This market research survey aims to identify potential vendors capable of producing this item and gather comprehensive information about industry capabilities and qualifications. The government is seeking responses from both small and large businesses to inform its future acquisition strategy, with interested parties required to submit detailed information electronically to Contract Specialist Colin Creagh by May 5, 2025. Respondents must carefully follow specific guidelines for submitting proprietary or confidential information, including proper marking and protection protocols. The survey will evaluate vendors' business profiles, manufacturing capabilities, production lead times, quality management systems, and commercial availability of the specified item.

The Sources Sought Notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning both small and large businesses can participate, including 8(a), HUBZone, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, and small disadvantaged businesses. While no specific award value is mentioned, the notice suggests a production requirement of approximately 11 units per year. The procurement falls under the NAICS category 336360 (Motor Vehicle Seating and Interior Trim Manufacturing) and PSC category 2540 (Vehicular Furniture and Accessories). Vendors are advised that this is a market research exercise only, and the government is not obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of the notice. The detailed survey is designed to provide ACC-DTA with comprehensive insights into potential vendors' capabilities for manufacturing the Stryker Strykshield.
