The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is conducting market research for an IT Workstation Renovation project at its Federal Regional Center in Denton, Texas. The project involves comprehensive remodeling of the Comm Center and Server Room, which includes removing and replacing raised flooring, walls, electrical systems, HVAC, water suppression systems, and lighting across four distinct areas. Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit a capabilities statement, two examples of past performance, and a cost estimate by May 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM CST. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM CST, with all interested industry representatives required to complete a facilities access form by April 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM CST. The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract, suggesting it is open to all qualified contractors. The project has a defined 75-day performance period, with contractors expected to begin work within 14 calendar days of award. All materials must comply with the Build America, Buy America Act, requiring American-produced components. Strict security protocols will be in place, including required security clearances for all personnel and limited access to sensitive but unclassified information. While no specific budget range is disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the renovation, which includes asbestos testing and abatement, new electrical work, ADA compliance upgrades, and specialized technical infrastructure modifications, suggests a significant investment. The project will be executed at 800 N. Loop 288 in Denton, TX, with project oversight by FEMA officials Raymond Hixon and Sandra Murphy.
