About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort McCoy is seeking sources for grounds maintenance services at ten Army Reserve locations under NAICS code 561730 (Landscaping Services) with a $9.5 million size standard. This sources sought notice aims to determine if sufficient qualified small businesses exist to support a small business set-aside procurement, requiring at least two qualified small business responses to proceed with the set-aside designation. Interested firms must provide detailed capability information including company details, DUNS/CAGE codes, small business certifications, previous experience on similar landscaping requirements, and commercial availability data including pricing information. The agency is also seeking recommendations on how to structure the contract requirements to facilitate small business competition and identify any unnecessarily restrictive conditions. The procurement is specifically targeting small businesses across all socioeconomic categories including 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Women-Owned Small Business concerns, with the set-aside contingent upon receiving sufficient qualified small business responses. No incumbent contractor information or specific award values are mentioned in the notice, though the NAICS size standard suggests contracts could reach up to $9.5 million in annual revenue. The requirement covers grounds maintenance services for ten separate Army Reserve facilities, indicating a multi-location service contract. Draft Performance Work Statement and Performance Requirements Summary documents are attached to provide potential contractors with detailed scope information. The agency emphasizes this is an information-gathering exercise only and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with any future procurement to be announced separately through official government channels.
