Compact Dual Polarimetric X-Band Doppler Weather Radar System: System Technical Specifications and Requirements:

The Compact Dual Polarimetric X-Band Doppler Weather Radar System will operate in the X-Band (9.4 GHz) with selectable scan modes and

an observation range that exceeds 60 km. It will be a dual

polarimetric radar operating in simultaneous transmission/

receiving (STAR) and not alternating. It will data output in

CF/Radial and NEXRAD Level-II formats. It will output

polarimetric variables differential reflectivity (ZDR), specific

differential phase (KDP), and correlation coefficient (CC). The

reported Nyquist velocity must be at least 60 m/s. The unit will

be compact with a radar weight < 68 kg and a footprint less than

1.2 m wide and deep and < 1.2 m high. The radar system will come

with a signal processing unit and data processing unit along

with software for basic display. It will be compatible with

power at 120-240VAC at 50/60 Hz. It will come complete with all

required cabling and a radar rower, non-penetrating roof mount

at least 2m tall. On site installation and training support shall

be included along with an extended warranty.

The system will be compatible with Windows 11 and/or Linux. The Compact Dual Polarimetric X[1]Band Doppler Weather Radar System will be operated and maintained using existing supplies, software, and systems currently owned by the USNA Department of Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences.

See attached sources sought notice for full details on requirement supplies.
