About this opportunity

The Mission and Installation Command (MICC) - Fort Eustis has issued a Sources Sought Notice for Army Heritage Uniforms as part of a market research initiative to identify potential businesses capable of fulfilling this specialized requirement. The Center for Initial Military Training (CIMT) is seeking complete, authentic replica uniform and equipment sets representing six distinct historical military periods: Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War. Each uniform set must include comprehensive head-to-toe ensembles with 2-3 dozen items including headwear, clothing, boots, weapons (non-firing replicas), ammunition, shelter, canteens, belts, and other soldier equipment. The notice falls under the Department of the Army Materiel Command and targets contractors in the Cut and Sew Apparel industry. This market research effort will inform the procurement method should a formal solicitation follow.

The primary objective of this Sources Sought Notice is to assess industry capabilities for delivering historically accurate military uniforms with exceptional quality and authenticity across multiple war periods. Interested businesses must submit their responses by September 8, 2025, at 1400 ET, providing a comprehensive 10-page PDF that details their organizational capabilities, CAGE and NAICS codes, estimated pricing, delivery timelines, and 35 high-quality color images showcasing their product quality. Companies may respond for one or multiple historical periods but must provide complete sets for each timeframe they address. The document emphasizes strict authenticity requirements for colors, patterns, and historical accuracy, with all product selection, design, fabrication, and production managed by the contractor. Questions regarding the notice must be submitted by September 3, 2025, and contractors should note that no funds are available for response preparation as this is purely a market research exercise rather than a formal procurement solicitation.
