About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is conducting market research for the repair of Controllable-Pitch Propeller (CCP) Hubs and Oil-Distribution (OD) Boxes manufactured by Rolls Royce Marine North America. The agency is seeking capability statements from potential service providers to inform their procurement strategy for repairing numerous National Stock Number (NSN) assets. Interested vendors must submit electronic responses not exceeding three pages, including a cover page with company details, CAGE Code, business size status, and point of contact information. Responses must be submitted to Contract Specialist Valerie Corcoran by 4:30 PM on May 31, 2024, via email with the subject line "N64498_0016 Hub and OD." The market research is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 10, and respondents should understand that this is not a formal Request for Proposal, and the government will not compensate participants for response preparation.

This pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations and is currently positioned as a potential sole-source procurement with Rolls Royce Marine North America. The procurement falls under NAICS category 811310 for commercial and industrial machinery repair and maintenance, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of J030 for mechanical power transmission equipment maintenance. While no specific award value or budget range is mentioned, the notice suggests a focused procurement for specific NSN assets requiring repair services. The government emphasizes that all submitted responses will become government property and will not be returned, and any proprietary information will be protected from external disclosure. Potential vendors should carefully review the attached draft statement of work and be prepared to demonstrate their specific capabilities in repairing the specified CCP Hubs and Oil-Distribution Boxes.
