About this opportunity
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) global market pricing data subscription covering a broad range of securities including global equities, fixed income, futures, and options. The procurement requires a comprehensive data solution that provides detailed security master fields, market pricing data, and exchange rates with at least ten years of historical information. Vendors must submit a response by April 7, 2025, which includes a three-page summary letter, a completed requirements checklist, a five-page description of their data delivery mechanism, sample files for specific securities, and a price estimate for an enterprise subscription. Evaluation will focus on the vendor's ability to meet mandatory data requirements, preferred specifications, and demonstrate technical capabilities for data transmission and accessibility. All questions regarding the sources sought notice must be submitted by March 25, 2025, to garrettj@sec.gov.
The sources sought notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations for small businesses or socio-economic categories. The data subscription will cover a base year with four potential option years, requiring vendors to support up to 32 concurrent API connections and handle approximately 50GB of daily data transmissions. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the SEC is requesting price estimates for an enterprise-level subscription that allows both internal and external data usage. The required data must support multiple security identifiers including tickers, CUSIPs, SEDOLs, and ISINs, and cover an extensive list of global securities. The procurement approach suggests the SEC is conducting market research to understand available commercial solutions before potentially issuing a formal Request for Proposal.
