About this opportunity
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice for the reconditioning and redeployment of an Extrusion Plant Radiographic Inspection System (EPRIS) Computed Tomography (CT) system. This pre-solicitation notice, issued under the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command, seeks to identify potential sources capable of providing these specialized engineering services. Interested vendors must submit comprehensive response packages including company brochures, capabilities lists, product literature, organizational details, contact information, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code. The government emphasizes that this is preliminary market research and does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal or guarantee future solicitation opportunities. All responses must be submitted via email to Sara Cooper at sara.j.cooper4.civ@us.navy.mil by 3:00 PM EST on August 27, 2025, with file size limitations of 2 MB and restrictions against zip file submissions.
This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified sources regardless of business size. The notice does not identify any current incumbents or existing contractors for this specialized CT system reconditioning work. No award values, budget ranges, or cost estimates are provided in the documentation, as this is strictly a market research exercise to gauge industry capabilities. The timeline for responses is relatively short, with only two weeks between the posting date of August 14, 2025, and the submission deadline of August 27, 2025. The government reserves the right to reject any or all submissions and explicitly states that no awards will result directly from this Sources Sought Notice. The specialized nature of the EPRIS CT system suggests this may be a niche market with limited qualified vendors capable of performing the required reconditioning and redeployment services.
