About this opportunity

The Colorado Army National Guard's 140th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Buckley Space Force Base is seeking sources for repair and certification of one government-owned bucket truck, with responses due July 7, 2026; this is a market-research sources sought, not a solicitation, but contemplates a firm-fixed-price contract award and carries a total small business set-aside.

The bucket truck failed its annual inspection due to multiple critical and safety-related deficiencies. Work encompasses six general repair tasks—replacing damaged controller cover screws, safety and instructional placards (one to ten), platform rotation pin assembly, drilling out damaged nylon screws, worn anti-slip tape on the platform entry step, and a leaking lower control valve (Class 1 hydraulic leak)—plus troubleshooting and repair of the inoperable platform tilt system, which requires at minimum adjusting and lubricating the handle, adjusting the proximity switch for manual leveling at the turntable, and lubricating the chain mechanism. The contractor must certify the equipment to Fully Mission Capable status in accordance with ANSI/SAIA A92.2 standards for vehicle-mounted elevating and rotating aerial devices.

The contractor bears responsibility for all freight, transportation, shop supplies, and environmental disposal costs. Upon completion, the contractor shall conduct full operational testing and provide ANSI A92.2 compliance certification, detailed invoice, and signed certification documentation. The 140th LRS Vehicle Management flight lacks in-house certification for these specialized repairs.

Interested firms should submit company information, UEI, points of contact with phone and email, confirmation of capability to perform the work, and any questions regarding requirement clarity.
