About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center is conducting market research for Contracted Logistics Support of the A-29C Integrated Weapon System. The solicitation seeks capabilities for maintaining three A-29C aircraft at an 80% mission capable rate, with contracted support including sustainment engineering, supply management, and operational requirements. Companies must demonstrate possession or viable access to necessary technical data and show capability to support up to 1,320 flying hours per year. The sources sought notice requires interested businesses to submit an unclassified capabilities statement package by July 4, 2025, via email to specified Air Force contacts. Submissions must include company details such as name, address, CAGE code, business size, and points of contact, with specific formatting requirements of 11.5-sized Times New Roman font and 1-inch page margins.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside for small businesses, though it suggests interest in both small and other than small business firms. The operational requirements include maintaining a minimum of one sortie daily, supporting 500 base flying hours annually, and potential flexibility for night sorties with advance coordination. Specific technical requirements include maintenance of government-furnished equipment, special instrumentation support, weight and balance documentation, and the ability to scale support based on operational needs. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive logistics support indicates a potentially significant contract opportunity within the Air Transportation Support Activities sector (NAICS 488190). The contract appears designed to ensure continuous mission readiness for the A-29C aircraft through comprehensive maintenance and operational support services.
