About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of State, specifically the U.S. Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe, is seeking a Triplex Pump Control System through a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation calls for a comprehensive control system with specific components including MCBs, power supplies, panels, fuses, pressure transducers, transformers, drives, cables, backup software, and spare parts. Potential contractors must submit their quotations by March 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM local time, with proposals required to be in English and formatted in Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat files not exceeding 30MB. To be considered, offerors must complete and submit a Standard Form 1449, pricing details, representations and certifications, and provide proof of System for Award Management (SAM) registration. The U.S. Government intends to award the contract to the lowest-priced, responsible offeror, with the possibility of holding discussions if deemed necessary.
The contract is not set aside for any specific category of business and will be awarded under the NAICS category 238220 for Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a Product Service Code of J043 for maintenance and repair of pumps and compressors. The place of performance is the U.S. Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe, where the new pump control system will replace an existing system from CentiPro Aquavar and Goulds Water Technology. The specific system requirements include a V3VGE8K40C2JCDK model with 380V/3PH 50HZ power and a station flow of 226 gallons per minute. While the exact contract value is not specified, it will be a firm-fixed-price purchase order for the complete pump control system delivery. Potential bidders must be registered in the SAM database prior to submission, with failure to do so potentially resulting in the proposal being deemed non-responsible and not considered.
