About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy's Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) is seeking a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Design-Build (DB)/Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for construction projects. The solicitation, identified by number N4008425R0074, is specifically focused on updating construction capabilities at Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo (CFAS) in Japan and other areas within NAVFAC Far East's regional responsibility. The contract is categorized under Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (NAICS 236220) and involves repair or alteration of miscellaneous buildings. The solicitation was posted on March 17, 2025, with a response deadline of April 22, 2025, indicating a compact timeline for potential contractors to submit their proposals. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the notice, typical construction contract assessments often include factors like technical capability, past performance, and cost competitiveness.
The solicitation indicates no specific set-aside designations, suggesting the opportunity is open to a broad range of contractors. The place of performance is primarily in Japan, specifically at Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo and potentially other NAVFAC Far East locations. As a Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC), this solicitation likely allows for multiple contractors to be awarded portions of the overall project work. The contract appears to be for indefinite delivery and quantity, which means the exact scope and value may fluctuate based on specific project needs. While precise award values are not specified in the notice, MACC contracts typically provide flexibility for the government to issue task orders against the contract over a predetermined period, allowing for responsive and adaptable construction services in the region.
