About this opportunity
The US Marshals Service seeks catered meal services for its Special Operations Group training event in Pineville, Louisiana, with proposals due August 5 and questions due July 29. The procurement is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 722320 (Caterers), with a $9.0 million size standard.
Place of performance is Pineville, Louisiana. The contractor must provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 40 attendees over six training days (September 12–17, 2026), totaling 720 meals plus 480 snacks. Meals will be served primarily at the Special Operations Group Tactical Center dining facility at Camp Beauregard, with lunch occasionally served at off-site training locations within a 20-mile radius. Lunch service at SOG Range-8 requires delivery 14.6 miles away with one-hour round-trip travel; dinner service at SOG Range-4 involves approximately 30-minute round-trip travel over unimproved gravel and dirt range roads.
Each attendee must consume 3,500–4,500 calories daily through nutrient-dense meals. All meat must be USDA Choice or better (whole/full muscle); fresh fruits and vegetables must be Grade A frozen or U.S. No. 1 fresh; dairy must be pasteurized. Breakfast requires hot and cold options, eggs, 4 oz meat, bread, potatoes, and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner require 6–10 oz whole muscle meat, vegetables, potatoes, bread, salad bar, and 4 oz desserts.
The contractor must maintain a physical business location within 50 miles of 1401 "F" Street, Pineville, or satisfy this requirement through a subcontractor. All offerors must be registered in SAM for "All Awards" status. Key personnel must include one cook, one assistant cook, two food preparation specialists, two servers, and one cleaning attendant. All employees require background checks submitted at least 10 workdays prior to contract start. The contractor furnishes food, beverages, condiments, disposable items, uniforms, and transportation; the Government provides kitchen equipment, utilities, and office space.
Evaluation weighs non-price factors (catering personnel experience, contract management experience, performance references, and questionnaire responses) more heavily than price. Award will be Firm-Fixed-Price to the offeror representing best value.
