About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Indo-Pacific is conducting market research to identify potential suppliers for soft drinks and coffee for Okinawa Japan area bases. This sources sought synopsis focuses on procuring various beverage bases and iced coffee products in 1-2.5 gallon bag-in-box packaging for fountain dispensers, with specific brand requirements including Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Suntory Boss. The agency is seeking local sources capable of not only supplying the beverages but also providing and maintaining fountain equipment such as bar guns, self-service ice dispensing units, and electric counter units. Interested companies must submit detailed responses by 5:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time on April 23, 2025, including company information, size classification, lead times, unique identifiers, and a capabilities statement. The responses will be used to make acquisition decisions and potentially inform a future solicitation announcement in SAM.gov.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates this is not a set-aside contract and contemplates a Firm-Fixed Price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with potential for a five-year extension. No specific award value or budget range is explicitly stated in the document. The procurement is categorized such that a wholesale or retail trade business with 500 or fewer employees can be considered a small business for bidding purposes. Companies must be prepared to provide comprehensive services including equipment provision, maintenance, and repair, in addition to beverage supply. Responses must include a Tax Identification Number, System for Award Management (SAM) Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, and a brief capabilities statement. The government emphasizes that this is a market research effort only, and no reimbursement will be provided for information submission, with all submitted materials to be held confidentially and used solely for planning purposes.
