About this opportunity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration seeks commercial construction services for snow shelter door removal and replacement at Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) sites in Reno, Nevada and Flagstaff, Arizona, with quotations due August 26, 2026. This is a Total Small Business set-aside request for quotation (RFQ).

Place of performance includes both NEXRAD sites: Flagstaff, Arizona (KFSX) and Reno, Nevada (KRGX). Work shall commence within ten business days of award and be completed within 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Performance requires removal of existing doors and frames, installation of two thermal break steel double door sets and one thermal break steel single door at each site, with doors weathertight and tamper-proof, painted to match existing colors with three color options for contracting officer representative selection, and new hardware keyed to match existing facility keys. Offerors must provide asbestos-containing materials certification confirming no such materials will be delivered to or utilized at the work site; the contractor bears full responsibility for removal and remediation costs if any are encountered.

The NAICS code is 238140, Masonry Contractors; PSC is Z1EB, Maintenance Of Maintenance Buildings. Award will be made on an all-or-none basis with firm fixed-price payment terms of Net 30. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates apply for work in Coconino, Mohave, and Yavapai counties, Arizona, and Washoe County, Nevada. Evaluation weighs technical approach and capability, building restoration experience, and past performance (minimum two references from separate contracts within the past two years) as significantly more important than price. Solicitation 1305M326Q0435 was issued August 14, 2026; Amendment 0001 (August 21, 2026) added technical questions and photographic attachments clarifying door specifications and site access details.
