About this opportunity

This Special Notice announces a site visit opportunity for a federal contracting project involving the manufacture and installation of two free-standing awnings with walls at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center published this notice on September 24, 2025, with a due date of October 10, 2025. The project requires fabricating and installing two custom awnings, each measuring 19'6" x 5' x 8' with three side walls, a 2/12 shed/monopitch roof, and weather-resistant materials rated for Category "C" high winds according to ASCE/SEI 7 standards. Each awning must be installed on existing concrete pads on the East-Northeast side of Building 59, with legs buried two inches below the surface and secured with concrete. The awnings must include gutters with downspouts and be painted in specified Air Force colors (ROBINS 22 or 32 for primary, ROBINS 48 or 62 for accents).

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested contractors about a mandatory site visit scheduled for October 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST at Robins Air Force Base. Contractors must contact the Point of Contact, Stephen Tew, at stephen.tew.2@us.af.mil by October 10, 2025, at 12:30 PM to participate in the two-hour site visit, which includes a site walk and conference room discussion. All visitors must arrive at the Visitor's Center by 8:45 AM and bring identification, vehicle registration, and insurance documentation. The project falls under the 402d Maintenance Group at Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, with delivery and installation expected within six weeks after contract award. Work must be performed during normal business hours (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday), and the contractor must provide a 12-month parts and labor warranty while complying with all Air Force base security and safety requirements.
