About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command is seeking to acquire a biometric access control system called SIPRGuard 250 to securely access the SIPRNet (Secret Internet Protocol Router Network) at Minot Air Force Base. The system must include a biometric control unit, gateway modules per laptop, and necessary cables to allow users to access the secret network while keeping the computer systems locked and up-to-date. This requirement is aligned with the physical security standards outlined by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in IA-12.01.01. The evaluation criteria will be based on technical acceptability and price, with the contract to be awarded to the responsible offeror whose quote is most advantageous to the government.
The solicitation is set aside 100% for small businesses under NAICS code 334118 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Trusted Systems is identified as the only reasonably available source for the SIPRGuard 250 product, which meets the government's requirements. The estimated value of the contract is not specified, but the place of delivery and performance is Minot AFB, ND. Proposals are due by August 23, 2024.
Notice text
Minot AFB needs to acquire a solution for accessing SIPRNet using a biometric system so that computers remain in a locked safe at all times, but are still accessible to the user. This system allows a more secure solution to access the secret network, and it also provides ease of access to the user, while ensuring the computer systems stays up to date and patched at all times. The supplies required are one Biometric control unit, one gateway module per laptop (remotely turned on and off by the biometric control unit), and the cables required to connect everything. Trusted Systems can provide this technical solution via their SIPRGuard product. This system must meet all requirements levied by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for physical security as outlined in IA-12.01.01
