About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is procuring 60 cassettes of shoe covers under solicitation SPMYM225Q2363. The shoe covers must be manufactured from medium green plastic vinyl film with specific dimensions of 16" to 18" in height and 0.004" thickness, sized to fit a size 14 shoe. Key contract requirements include compliance with NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity standards (unless items qualify as Commercial Off The Shelf), Defense Biometric Identification System credentialing for base access, and electronic invoicing through Wide Area Workflow. Contractors must provide supply chain traceability documentation identifying the manufacturing source of the shoe covers. The solicitation requires signed and completed responses to be submitted via email to kelli.monaco@dla.mil or fax by July 30, 2025, with delivery required by September 18, 2025.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under the firm-fixed-price contract structure. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the solicitation documentation. While no specific contract value or budget range is disclosed, the relatively small quantity of 60 cassettes suggests a modest procurement value typical of supply orders for protective equipment. The shoe covers must be delivered to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, where government inspection and acceptance will occur at the destination. The solicitation falls under NAICS code 316210 (Footwear Manufacturing) and PSC code 8430 (Footwear, Men's), reflecting the specialized nature of the protective footwear requirement for naval operations.
