About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 73 units of servocylinder assemblies under NSN 7R-1650-014552591-QF. This procurement requires engineering source approval by the design control activity due to the flight-critical nature of the components and the need to maintain part quality standards. Only previously approved sources have been solicited for this opportunity, as existing qualified sources retain essential data rights, manufacturing knowledge, and technical expertise that are not economically available to the government. Companies that are not currently approved sources must submit detailed qualification information through NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support procedures and undergo a government approval process that typically cannot be completed within the procurement timeline. The proposal submission deadline is October 20, 2025, with delivery terms specified as FOB Origin.
This procurement does not include any set-aside designations and is restricted to sources with existing government approval for this specific part number. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the notice, though the quantity requirement is clearly defined as 73 each of the servocylinder assembly units. The procurement falls under PSC code 1650 for Aircraft Hydraulic, Vacuum, and De-Icing System Components, reflecting the specialized nature of these aviation maintenance parts. New sources seeking approval must demonstrate technical capabilities and submit comprehensive documentation detailing their manufacturing experience with identical or similar components, with the approval process managed by the cognizant government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part's intended application.
