About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has a requirement to provide high-performance computing and storage capability, including necessary hardware, software, and services, to replace aging critical storage and compute components on the existing compute cluster (SOCRATES) platform. The requirement will include maintenance for two hub-expansion servers in E&S Africa and Central America, which are integral in enhancing direct science and Geospatial information Technology (GIT) capacity and scientific value in those regions. NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract modification to acquire the services from Spatial Informatics Group under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as the Government believes that Spatial Informatics Group is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Bryan Bregard by May 16, 2024, and the Government will evaluate the responses solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.
This acquisition is not set aside for any specific type of business. Spatial Informatics Group is the current incumbent contractor, and the Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The award value and budget range for this requirement are not specified in the pre-solicitation notice.
