About this opportunity
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is conducting a market research survey for a service agreement related to reverse osmosis units at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. The procurement is for technical safety checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting services specifically for AquaC UNO H Dialysis Water Treatment Systems, including associated testing such as filter changes, microbial testing, and AAMI chemical contaminant testing. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide a capabilities statement with a company profile by April 18, 2025, at 0900 EST. The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price for commercial items, targeting vendors in the Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing sector (NAICS Code 334510). Interested parties must submit non-proprietary information including company name, address, point of contact, Unique Entity ID, and business size.
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for the contract, suggesting it will be open to all qualified vendors. While no specific award value is mentioned, the scope involves comprehensive maintenance of sophisticated medical water treatment equipment that must meet current AAMI/ANSI and FDA-recognized U.S. standards. The reverse osmosis units will require pre-treatment and potentially post-treatment devices to ensure compliance with medical equipment regulations. Contractors will need to demonstrate technical expertise in maintaining dialysis water treatment systems and provide comprehensive service capabilities. The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to proceed with a competitive procurement based on the responses received. Potential contractors should note that they will be responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this announcement, and the government will not reimburse any costs incurred during the information-gathering process.
