About this opportunity
The General Services Administration seeks bids to construct a private office within Senator Rosen's office space at the Bruce R. Thompson US Courthouse in Reno, Nevada, with proposals due July 20, 2026 at 4:00 PM PDT and questions due June 24 at 4:00 PM PDT. This is a total small business set-aside under FAR 19 (NAICS 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction; PSC Z2AA).
Place of performance is Reno, Nevada (89501). The work entails installing a partition wall with 3 5/8-inch, 20 GA minimum steel studs spaced 24 inches on center, batt insulation, 5/8-inch gypsum board on both sides, a solid core wood veneer door with matching hardware, and patching of carpet, covebase, and paint. Wall termination occurs at the existing suspended ceiling without extension above. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No acoustical or sound rating requirements apply to the door or partition. The contractor's scope excludes fire suppression, fire alarm, and HVAC system modifications. Substantial completion is required within 90 calendar days of notice to proceed, with full contract completion within 30 calendar days thereafter. The estimated price range is below $50,000; the contract is firm-fixed-price.
Prevailing wage rates apply per Davis-Bacon Wage Determination NV20260093 (effective June 22, 2026). A mandatory site walk is scheduled for June 17 at 10:00 AM PDT, limited to four personnel per firm with at least one prime contractor representative required; RSVP by June 16 at 10:00 AM PDT. Quotes must include a price quote with labor and material breakdown per line item on SF 1449, a technical approach narrative (maximum 2 pages) describing construction methodology and risk mitigation, and three project references from similar projects completed within the past three years, with preference for courthouse or judicial space experience. Evaluation applies best value analysis weighing technical approach and past performance without numerical ratings. A written payment bond or alternative protection is required if the award exceeds $35,000. Amendment 0001, effective July 1, incorporated pre-bid RFI responses and updated wage determination NV20260093.
