About this file

This document is a Pre-Bid Request for Information (RFI) Responses for federal solicitation 47PD5526Q0028, dated June 26, 2026, for the "Senator Rosen Office Wall" project.

The RFI responses clarify technical and administrative requirements for constructing a new partition wall and door assembly in a senator's office. Key construction specifications include: use of 3-5/8 inch steel studs as noted in the Statement of Work; wall termination at the existing suspended ceiling without extension above; no acoustical or sound rating requirements for the door or partition; door stop that can be floor or wall mounted with no specific finish requirement; and a door closer of make and model to be provided by the government. The contractor must provide a door core to be keyed by others, and a metal threshold is not required. New painting is limited to the new wall with limited repair of adjacent areas as needed. Work hours are established as 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The contractor's scope excludes modifications to fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems, and HVAC systems. Security clearance and review will be required for this project. The RFI also addresses a discrepancy in the solicitation cover sheet, with confirmation that a corrected version will be uploaded and the Agreement and SOW are accurate. Regarding evaluation criteria, work at a courthouse or similar judicial space will be considered as part of the government's evaluation of bidder experience on similar projects, though it is stated as part of evaluation rather than a strictly mandatory requirement.

I am wondering whether the requirement for work at a courthouse is strictly mandatory for the experience factor.

(2) Non-Price Factor 2: Experience on Similar Projects The Bidder must submit three project narratives (one page each) for projects of similar size, scope, and complexity as that set forth in the Statement Work, that was completed within the past three years. At a minimum, one of the projects should include work at a courthouse or similar judicial space.

Work at a courthouse will be part of the government's evaluation.
