About this opportunity

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Safety, Security and Asset Management has issued a Notice of Intent to Award a sole source contract for security guard services to Chenega Global Protection, LLC. This is not a competitive solicitation but rather a notification that the CDC intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which allows for sole source procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. The contract will provide security services for CDC-owned and leased facilities in Atlanta, Georgia, including both armed and unarmed security, access control, fire alarm monitoring, and coordination with law enforcement. The anticipated contract duration is seven months and represents a bridge contract to the current CDC agreement #75D30120C08513. The applicable NAICS code is 561612 for Security Guard Services.

The primary purpose of this bridge contract is to maintain continuity of existing security services while the CDC develops a follow-on contract that will be awarded as an 8(a) direct award in 2026. Interested sources may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to provide the required security services, though this notice explicitly states it is not a request for competitive proposals. Capability statements must not exceed two pages using minimum 10-point font and must include sufficient management and technical data with convincing evidence of capability. All submissions are due by 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on June 25, 2025, and must be submitted electronically as Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachments to the designated contracting officer. The CDC will consider all capability statements received by the deadline, but telephone requests will not be accepted.
