About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Submarine Electromagnetic Systems Program Office (PMS 435) is hosting a second industry day on 3 September 2026 to brief interested parties on Low Profile Mast (LPM) program design and prototyping requirements ahead of a formal Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) release. Registration deadline is 28 August 2026 at 1700 EDT.

The Navy will leverage Other Transaction Authority under 10 U.S.C. 4022 for this effort. The agency intends to solicit both traditional and nontraditional defense companies and will share Areas of Interest (AOI) and draft technical requirements during the industry day to allow maximum evaluation time prior to formal RPP release. Key objectives include briefing stakeholders on milestones, aligning industry capabilities with fleet needs, and emphasizing the Navy's requirement for diverse perspectives and innovative solutions to current and future LPM capabilities.

The industry day runs 1000 to 1300 EDT in Washington, D.C., with both in-person and virtual attendance options. Each company may send up to two in-person participants and two online attendees. Specific location details and virtual joining instructions will be provided separately to pre-registered and approved companies only. Registration requires company name, CAGE Code or DUNS Number, unclassified mailing address, and attendee information, submitted to Eric Dieges, Jada Williams, or Timothy Nguyen at the Naval Sea Systems Command. The opportunity aligns with NAICS 334511 (Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing) and PSC 1240 (Optical Sighting and Ranging Equipment).
