About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking preventative maintenance services for three SEAL Analytical laboratory instruments through Request for Quotation 140G0226Q0035. The requirement encompasses annual preventative maintenance visits, one emergency on-site visit per year, software upgrades, technical support via email and phone, and method revisions for AQ400 discrete autoanalyzer, AQ700 discrete autoanalyzer, and AA500 continuous flow autoanalyzer units. Evaluation will be based on three equally weighted factors: technical approach and preventative maintenance plan, technician qualifications and certifications, and past performance on similar contracts, with these non-price factors considered significantly more important than cost. Offerors must demonstrate their capability through three examples of past performance on similar preventative maintenance contracts and must provide their proposals in two separate parts—a technical proposal limited to two pages and a distinct pricing proposal. The quotation deadline is April 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time, with submissions required electronically to bwilson@usgs.gov.
This solicitation is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a size standard of $34,000,000. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis with a base performance period from May 11, 2026 to May 10, 2027, followed by four optional one-year renewal periods extending through May 10, 2031. The place of performance is the USGS Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Eligible offerors must maintain current and active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide their Unique Entity ID (UEI) number with their quotation. The specific award value and detailed budget information are not disclosed in this solicitation notice, though the scope of services across the five-year contract period with multiple service visits annually provides context for potential contract value.
