About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Pearl Harbor is soliciting quotes for controlled industrial materials, specifically various metal screws including socket head cap screws made of NiCuAl (K-Monel) alloy. The procurement requires vendors to meet strict technical specifications outlined in MIL-STD-792 and QQ-N-286, with detailed certifications and traceability documentation required for all materials. All quotes are due by 0900 AM Hawaii Standard Time on August 4, 2025, and must be emailed to the designated contracting officer. The acquisition follows Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 for commercial items and Part 13 for simplified acquisition procedures, with evaluation based on vendors' ability to meet technical requirements and provide proper certifications.

This opportunity is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 332722 (Bolt, Nut, Screw, Rivet, and Washer Manufacturing). No incumbent contractors are identified in the solicitation materials. While specific award values are not disclosed, the procurement involves controlled industrial materials with delivery required to DLA Distribution in Hawaii by September 1, 2025. The solicitation includes critical quality control requirements, notably prohibiting the use of eighty suspect K-Monel heat numbers that may not meet mechanical property requirements due to aluminum content and yield strength issues identified by Special Metals Corporation. Performance will occur at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, and vendors must maintain current registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database throughout the contract lifecycle.
