About this opportunity
The Naval Supply Systems Command's Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Contracting Office is conducting market research through a sources-sought notice for the lease of one diesel-powered scissor lift, with responses due by August 14, 2026. The Government has not yet determined whether this requirement will be set-aside for small business or procured through full and open competition, though all small business set-aside categories are under consideration; a single award is anticipated.
Place of performance is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. The scissor lift must have a 43-foot platform height, minimum 1,500-pound lift capacity, solid tires, and be crane-liftable. The contractor must provide leasing, transportation, inspection, maintenance, and emergency repair services with 100 percent compliance to service delivery timelines and repair response windows. Scheduled maintenance must be completed within two business days per manufacturer standards; repair requests require response within eight hours or replacement unit provision within two business days at no additional cost. The contractor must furnish ASME-certified mechanics or manufacturers' technical representatives for on-site repairs and coordinate delivery, pickup, and facility access with the Contracting Officer's Representative.
The ordering period runs from October 5, 2026, through October 4, 2027. This sources-sought does not constitute a Request for Quote or a commitment to contract. The Government will not reimburse response costs, and responses will inform procurement strategy rather than serve as quotes. Future solicitation, if issued, will be posted on SAM.gov.
