About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service seeks replacement of a floating dock at Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge in McIntosh County, Georgia, with quotes due September 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM EST following Amendment P00001. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside with a small business size standard of 45 million dollars.
Place of performance is Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge on the South Newport River in McIntosh County, Georgia. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, and subcontractor services to procure and install two aluminum floating dock sections (Section No. 1: 3'-9" x 30'-4"; Section No. 2: 9'-2" x 30'-4") equipped with polyethylene flotation systems, aluminum decking, double-stacked 2" x 8" pressure-treated fender systems, vinyl D-bumpers, and cleats, plus two four-roller external pile guide assemblies. The dock must meet a design load of 20 psf minimum with 16–18 inches of freeboard under design loading. No new pile installation is required. The contractor must remove the existing wooden ramp and floating dock structure, coordinate with Refuge personnel, verify field dimensions prior to fabrication, and provide manufacturer shop drawings (PE-stamped structural drawings are not required), warranty documentation, installation documentation, and final inspection records. Manufacturer warranties for dock components and flotation units plus installation workmanship warranty must cover a minimum of one year from government acceptance. The anticipated delivery date is preferably before October 2026, with a firm deadline of November 30, 2026.
