About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command is conducting market research for a Satellite Operations Center furniture reconfiguration project at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu. The project involves providing and installing new modular furniture for the Delta 8/10 SOPS Operations Center, including 10 new modular consoles, filing cabinets, bookshelves, and high-performance chairs. Potential vendors are required to submit a capability statement, provide past performance contract details, and include contact information and SAM unique number. The government seeks to evaluate potential contractors' abilities to meet complex technical requirements, including experience in console manufacturing and ergonomic solutions for mission-critical operations. Responses must be submitted by December 11, 2024, with interested parties required to email both TSgt Trenton H. Beavers and A1C Nodar Dundua, identifying the RFI number FA255025SOCD in the subject line.
This opportunity is set aside for small businesses, with specific encouragement for Section 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Businesses. The procurement involves detailed specifications for console configurations, including four 4-operator consoles (9 monitors each), two 2-operator sit-stand consoles, three 2-operator standard consoles, and one 10-operator console. Vendors must have at least 10 years of console manufacturing experience and provide furniture with specific technical requirements, including black/gray color schemes, Corian work surfaces, integrated cable management, and ADA compliance. The installation is scheduled for April 2025, with vendors required to provide detailed design packages and skilled installation teams. While no specific award value is mentioned, the complexity of the project suggests a significant investment in specialized office furniture for a critical military operations center.
