About this opportunity
The Missouri National Guard Qualified Recycling Program, operating under the Department of the Army National Guard, is offering for sale an estimated 39,414 pounds of deformed small arms brass that has been demilitarized and rendered inert through heating, mangling, or crushing in accordance with DoD standards. The material, consisting of 17 boxes stored at the USPFO Warehouse in Jefferson City, Missouri, is being sold as a single lot through Invitation for Bid (IFB) W912NS-26-QRP01, with bids due by March 17, 2026 at 1300 Central Time and bid opening at 1330 Central Time the same day. Bidders must submit sealed bids on Standard Form 114F via email to Ethan J. Curtis (Ethan.J.Curtis2.mil@army.mil) and Hediberto Roman (hediberto.roman.civ@army.mil), offering a single lot price rather than per-pound pricing, with the award going to the highest qualified bidder. The successful bidder must provide a 20% deposit within three business days of award notification, complete full payment within 14 days using cashier's check, certified check, or electronic funds transfer, and remove the property within 10 business days of notification. The government provides a limited warranty that the material will be as described prior to removal but sells the property on a "Where Is-As Is" basis thereafter, with the purchaser responsible for all security, protection, and compliance with facility access requirements; default penalties include potential debarment and restriction from future sales.
