About this opportunity

The Durham VA Medical Center has issued a Sources Sought Notice for professional drycleaning and laundry services through the Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 6. The procurement seeks a contractor to handle an average weekly volume of 932 pounds of laundry, including dress shirts, slacks, lab coats, and napkins, with specific pickup and delivery requirements on Mondays and Wednesdays. Interested vendors must submit responses by 11:00 AM EST on April 1, 2025, to Serina Black via email, with a comprehensive response that includes company details, business size, and socioeconomic status. Respondents should provide a brief description of their qualifications demonstrating the ability to meet the service requirements. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 812320 for Drycleaning and Laundry Services and is currently in a market research phase.

This Sources Sought Notice is not a formal solicitation and does not guarantee a contract award, with the government explicitly stating they will not reimburse response costs. There are no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, meaning both small and large businesses can potentially compete. While the notice does not specify a precise contract value or budget range, the weekly laundry volume of 932 pounds suggests a substantial ongoing service requirement. The procurement allows for vendors to identify themselves as potentially qualifying under socioeconomic categories such as 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, or Veteran-Owned Small Business. The contract's initial timeline appears to be focused on immediate service needs, with an expectation of regular weekly laundry processing at the Durham VA Medical Center.
