About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration is seeking a contractor to provide complete waste disposal services for the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center and Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center campuses in Kansas. The contract will cover the removal of miscellaneous trash and refuse for a one-year base period from 11/1/2024 to 10/31/2025, with four one-year option periods. Offers are due by 10/25/2024 at 5PM CDT, and the government intends to evaluate offers and make an award without discussions. The solicitation uses NAICS code 562111 for Solid Waste Collection and PSC code S205 for Housekeeping - Trash/Garbage Collection.

This is an unrestricted solicitation, but includes set-aside preferences for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and women-owned small businesses. There are no indications of any incumbent contractors. The government has not provided a specific budget range, but the contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to the government based on technical, management, and price factors. The work will be performed at the two VA medical center campuses in Leavenworth and Topeka, Kansas.
