About this opportunity

The contract will be awarded to Hamilton Alliance, Inc., a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This procurement will be conducted under statutory authority Public Law 109 Sec. 502 and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 819.7008. The contract will cover a ten-month period from April 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, with plans to solicit and award a new five-year ordering period contract at the conclusion of this initial contract.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to leverage the VA's commitment to supporting service-disabled veteran-owned businesses by utilizing sole-source procurement authority. The contract is structured with specific eligibility requirements, including that the anticipated award price will not exceed $5 million and that the SDVOSB must be determined a responsible contractor offering best value to the government. Key deadlines include a response deadline of March 26, 2025, with the contracting officer having full discretion to make the sole-source award. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 562111 for Solid Waste Collection and Product Service Code S205 for Housekeeping-Trash/Garbage Collection. Importantly, the VA emphasizes that a determination that only one SDVOSB can meet the requirement is not necessary, but the procurement must comply with specific regulatory guidelines, including ensuring the business meets eligibility requirements and that the procurement is in the best interest of the government.
