About this opportunity

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential vendors capable of supplying a fixed displacement hydraulic pump for aircraft systems. This market research effort seeks vendors with expertise in aerospace craft components, specifically hydraulic system components, as defined by NAICS code 333996. The RFI requires interested businesses to submit a capabilities statement package that includes company contact information, profile details, and technical capabilities by September 19, 2024, at 5:30 PM EDT. Vendors must demonstrate the ability to provide a hydraulic pump with specific technical specifications, including operating speed of 1200 RPM, minimum delivery of 0.5 USGPM, and operating pressure of 3000 PSIG. The agency will use the submitted information for future acquisition planning, with responses to be sent directly to Contract Specialist Zaib Nageeb via email.

No specific set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement opportunity, meaning all businesses are eligible to respond. The pump specification requires a compact design with maximum envelope dimensions of 4 inches in height, 4 inches in width, and 4.5 inches in length, coupled to a 208 VAC 400Hz motor with 1.45 HP and 5.5 amps intermittent duty rating. While not mandatory, the RFI indicates preferred specifications including a specific shaft spline configuration, pressure angle, and mounting face standards. The pump must be compatible with MIL-PRF-83282 hydraulic fluid and have a preferred mean time between failure (MTBF) of 1.7 x 10 hours. This RFI does not guarantee a contract award, and potential vendors are advised to monitor the System for Award Management (SAM) website for any future solicitation details.
