About this opportunity
The Virginia Army National Guard (VAARNG) Recruiting is procuring three sets of high school wrestling mats for use at Virginia High School League (VHSL) sanctioned tournaments and state finals through solicitation W912LQ-25-Q-A010. The wrestling mats must measure 40 feet by 40 feet with 1 5/8-inch thickness, be black in color, and meet ASTM F1081/ASTM 355 impact protection standards, with specific customization requirements including a 30-foot white boundary circle and Virginia Army National Guard Shield logo placement. The mats must be mobile and easy to move with fewer soldiers, and can be configured as either eight 5-foot wide sections or alternative configurations such as five 6-foot by 40-foot sections plus two 5-foot by 40-foot sections. Vendors must submit electronic quotes by October 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM EST, with questions accepted until September 29, 2025, and all communications directed to Contract Specialist Katina Moore via email. The contract will be awarded on a firm fixed-price basis with evaluation based primarily on price and secondarily on delivery time, requiring delivery by December 1, 2025.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business vendors. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the solicitation documents, and no specific budget range or award value estimates are provided. The solicitation requires three complete wrestling mat sets, each measuring 40 feet by 40 feet, with delivery required to Fort Pickett in Blackstone, Virginia by December 1, 2025. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and complete various representations and certifications as part of their submission requirements. The contractor will be responsible for all transportation costs, with shipping and handling expenses to be included in the total purchase price.

A1. Yes as long as it meets the 40' x 40' requirement the VAARNG is not picky on width of the mats except mats MUST be mobile and easy to move with less soldiers.
