About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking proposals for a rotor assembly damper used in CH-53A D E and MH-53E helicopters under NSN 1620-00-890-3202. This procurement is classified as a Configuration Control item and Critical Application item, requiring specialized manufacturing capabilities in the Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing sector (NAICS 336413). The contract will be structured as an Indefinite Quantity Contract with a 60-month term and delivery requirements of 161 days after receipt of order. The government will not provide specifications, plans, or drawings, requiring offerors to submit complete written proposals through the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS). The solicitation is expected to be issued on or around October 13, 2025, with a response deadline of November 12, 2025, and final awards will be evaluated based on a combination of price, past performance, and other factors detailed in the forthcoming solicitation.
This procurement is designated as unrestricted with no set-aside provisions, allowing all responsible sources to submit offers for consideration. Metadure Parts & Sales (CAGE 8U755) has been identified as a potential source for this requirement. The estimated quantities total 40 units annually over the 5-year base contract period, representing 200 total units for the full contract duration. Delivery terms are FOB Origin with inspection and acceptance at the origin point, and the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) requirements will apply to all contractors. The 60-month contract term provides a substantial long-term procurement vehicle for these critical helicopter components, with the 161-day delivery schedule establishing the performance timeline for each order placed under the indefinite quantity structure.
