About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research for the procurement of Rotor Assembly, Damper components identified by NSN 1620-00-890-3202. This pre-solicitation notice seeks potential sources capable of providing all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment necessary for new manufacture of these aircraft landing gear components, including component part procurement/manufacture, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping. Qualified contractors must demonstrate capabilities in supply chain management, logistics planning, production forecasting, long-lead time parts procurement, and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues. The government will evaluate respondents based on their ability to provide services consistent in scope and scale, secure necessary financial and technical resources, and implement successful project management plans with program compliance. The response deadline for this market research is September 2, 2025, though this notice explicitly states there is no current solicitation and is intended to identify vendors for future competitive opportunities.
This procurement opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is classified under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. The item is currently manufactured by Metadure Parts and Sales (CAGE 8U755) under part number 309809, though technical orders and qualification requirements are not available for this component. The government estimates an annual quantity requirement of 40 units for these rotor assembly dampers. Participation in this market research is voluntary with no financial responsibility assumed by the government for any costs incurred by potential respondents. The information gathered will be used to determine the appropriate procurement method for future acquisitions rather than the current buy cycle.
