About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center (NIH CC) intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for maintenance service of a Roche cobas z 480 analyzer used in the Department of Laboratory Medicine's Hematology Services. The contract will specifically cover preventative maintenance for an instrument critical to detecting and genotyping human Factor II and Factor V in thrombophilia patients. Potential vendors must submit business information including SAM UEI, company details, GSA schedules, NAICS codes, and company type by March 3, 2025. Responses should be electronically submitted to Kimala Winfield or Malinda Dehner at their NIH email addresses.
The procurement has no specific small business set-aside and falls under NAICS code 811210 for electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance. The contract will have a base year of twelve months with four additional 12-month option years, not to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $250,000. The large business size standard for this NAICS code is $34.0 million. Because Roche Diagnostics is the exclusive manufacturer with proprietary technology, no other vendors can provide the required maintenance services for this specialized laboratory analyzer. All potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for this opportunity, which is critical for ensuring uninterrupted provision of patient testing capabilities.
