About this opportunity
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) have issued a special notice announcing virtual training on obtaining Facility Clearances (FCL). The training session is scheduled for August 13, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time and is titled "Roadmap to Obtaining Your Facility Clearance." This special notice serves as an educational outreach initiative for entities that work with the government on projects involving classified information. The opportunity falls under the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services NAICS category and relates to national defense research and development services. DTRA published this notice to help organizations understand the facility clearance process and common pitfalls that cause delays or rejections.
The primary purpose of this training is to educate companies and academic institutions about the process of applying for Facility Clearances, which are required for entities providing goods or services to the government that involve access to or creation of classified information. DCSA will present the application process and highlight common reasons why clearance requests are returned or delayed. Registration is required through a specific government portal at https://osbp.experience.crmforce.mil/EventRegistration/s/ and must be completed by midnight on August 11, 2025. Due to capacity limitations of 250 participants, attendance is restricted to one person per organization. Registered attendees will receive the virtual training link on August 12, 2025, and can submit questions in advance to DTRA-SB-Outreach@mail.mil with "Facilities Clearance Training Question(s)" in the subject line.
