About this opportunity
The Bureau of Land Management at the National Interagency Fire Center published a Special Notice to negotiate with R. M. Young Company for the purchase of various repair and replacement parts for their wind speed and direction sensor. The parts include bearings, propellers, shafts, and rings with specific part numbers identified.
The Special Notice intends to negotiate solely with R. M. Young Company due to the parts being custom manufactured for the sensor and there being no other replacement parts that maintain the required calibration. Interested contractors must identify themselves and provide evidence they can furnish the parts by December 13th for consideration, but the order will be placed with R. M. Young if no comparable source is found. The estimated value of the acquisition is below $57,000 and it is described as a procurement notice to fulfill public posting requirements, with the NAICS code for scientific and engineering instruments manufacturing applying.
