About this opportunity
The United States Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Veterinary Services Cattle Tick Fever Eradication Program, is soliciting quotations for Ivermectin Pour-On 5 Liter Pourable Solution, a pesticide used to combat cattle fever ticks that threaten American agriculture. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) number 12639526Q0022 seeks bids for a commercial item under FAR Part 12 procedures, with evaluation criteria focused on vendor experience and pricing to determine best value to the government. Qualified vendors must submit quotations by January 23, 2026, with quotes to remain firm for 90 calendar days following submission. The solicitation specifies a required delivery date of February 9, 2026, and vendors are encouraged to coordinate with the technical point of contact, Troy Trevino, to ensure timely delivery and product freshness given the chemical's limited shelf life.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside, restricting eligibility to small business concerns classified under NAICS code 325320 (Pesticide and Other Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing). The government seeks to procure 1,140 units of the specified solution under a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Supply Purchase Order arrangement. The place of performance is the USDA Cattle Tick Fever Office in Laredo, Texas 78041, with F.O.B. destination shipping required. While the solicitation notice does not disclose a specific award value or budget range, the quantity of 1,140 units provides vendors with a clear scope of the procurement volume to support their pricing and production capacity assessments.
Notice text
This requirement is for the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal Plant Health and Inspection Service, Veterinary Services Cattle Tick Fever Eradication Program (CFTEP). As the Nation's veterinary authority, Veterinary Services improves the health, productivity, and quality of life for animals and people, and maintains and promotes the safety and availability of animals, animal products, and veterinary biologics.
The USDA, CFTEP has been fighting the spread of these ticks since 1906; however, in recent years, cattle fever tick infestations have increased significantly in number. These ticks have been a threat to American agriculture for generations because they spread the disease bovine babesiosis, commonly called cattle fever. This disease caused enormous economic losses to the U.S. cattle industry. In order to combat the Cattle Fever Tick, the USDA utilizes the pesticide, Co-Ral.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
