About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the US Agency for International Development Honduras is a Request for Information to solicit feedback on a draft Statement of Work, Instructions to Offerors, and Evaluation Criteria for a prospective Youth Employment for Migration Prevention Activity. The purpose of the activity is to increase employment opportunities for at-risk youth in Honduras through expanded education, skills training, and jobs initiatives to reduce irregular migration to the United States.
The RFI provides interested organizations until June 24, 2020 to submit comments on addressing the requirements and anticipated results described in the attached draft documents for a five-year activity. The draft SOW outlines objectives to expand secondary education and vocational training programs through partnerships between educators and employers, and to improve support for youth social enterprises. It aims to ultimately reach 100,000 at-risk youth through employment, education or self-employment over five years to help curb out-migration from high-risk areas of Honduras.
