About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground is conducting market research on behalf of the United States Army Security Assistance Command to identify potential sources for critical spare parts related to the Combat-Borne Surveillance System - Next Generation (CBSS-NG) under a Foreign Military Sales requirement. The procurement involves 21 specific spare parts including display processors, circuit boards, cables, computer components, and camera-related equipment for military surveillance systems. Interested sources must provide their company information, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, a brief description of their solution, and demonstrate their ability to meet potential system requirements. This sources sought notice explicitly states that telephone inquiries will not be accepted, no feedback will be provided to respondents, and submissions are strictly voluntary with no government obligation to award contracts. The deadline for responses is September 24, 2025, with the notice posted on August 21, 2025.

Currently, no set-aside designation has been established, though the government indicates that based on responses received, the requirement may be set-aside for small businesses in full or in part, with all small business set-aside categories under consideration. Multiple awards may be made from this procurement effort, suggesting the government anticipates dividing the requirement among several contractors rather than making a single award. The attached spreadsheet details the 21 spare parts with specific part numbers and quantities, though no incumbent contractors or current award values are identified in the available documentation. The timeline indicates approximately one month for market research responses, after which the government will determine the appropriate procurement method based on the level of interest and capability demonstrated by potential sources.
