About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command at Hill Air Force Base is seeking information on contractor capability to provide repair and return services for F-16 APG-66 and APG-68 radar systems and associated avionic Line Replaceable Units and Shop Replaceable Units down to the lowest component level, with white-paper responses due by June 18, 2026. The effort supports Foreign Military Sales countries and encompasses 144 line-item components across antenna, receiver, transmitter, power supply, digital module, and display categories, with primary original equipment manufacturers including L3Harris Missiles and Fire Control, Northrop Grumman Corporation, and Engineering Automation.
Work is unclassified, though contractors may handle Controlled Unclassified Information; personnel assigned to classified portions would require appropriate clearances and DD Form 254. All repair work must comply with applicable Technical Orders supplied by the Government. Contractors must submit administrative and technical white papers (Section 2 maximum 60 pages) in Microsoft Word format by 1300 hours MST via email to Joseph Barthold and Blake Merriam.
Respondents must identify items repairable without subcontracting, estimate repair delivery periods, provide estimated subcontracting percentage, submit three similar previous contracts as prime contractor, describe financial resources and workforce recruitment strategy for 200-plus personnel, and disclose facility security clearance level and USAF certification status. NAICS 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) applies. Delivery periods and parts availability present potential constraints. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to contract or issue an RFP.
