About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) requirements for the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay Entrance Channel Maintenance Dredging Project in Georgia and Florida. This RFI is intended for preliminary planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals, nor will a contract be awarded based on the responses received.

The primary objective of this RFI is to determine if contractors will still be able to complete the beach placement of approximately 300,000 cubic yards of beach-quality dredged material between December 15 and March 31, given the new MEC specifications. Contractors are invited to submit their responses by 2:00 PM EDT on May 3, 2024, to Timothy Humphrey at Timothy.G.Humphrey@usace.army.mil. Respondents are cautioned not to submit any proprietary or business-sensitive information, as the government will not pay for any response expenses and will not notify the respondents of the evaluation results.
