About this opportunity
The 56th Contracting Squadron (Air Education and Training Command) is conducting market research via Request for Information for antennas (Q-PAR QMS-00807) and positioning systems (QLA-360MPS-15-Q01-005), with responses due May 26, 2026.
This RFI is issued for planning purposes under FAR Part 10 to identify potential sources and determine set-aside eligibility; no contract award is obligated. The Government seeks qualified vendors to supply brand-name Q-PAR antenna and positioning equipment and requests disclosure of firm size, small business certifications (8(a), SDVOSB, HubZone, etc.), and estimated calendar days required to respond to a subsequent RFQ. Respondents may request that their questions and the Government's answers be posted publicly on FedBizOpps or GSA without firm name disclosure.
The positioning system is a radar antenna positioner for aircraft tracking and surveillance, featuring azimuth range of −220 to 220 degrees (440 total travel) at 100 degrees per second, elevation range of −10 to 90 degrees at 60 degrees per second, built-in navigation and sensing (compass, GPS, accelerometer, IMU), support for multiple aircraft transponders, raw radar feed receipt, Power over Ethernet operation, and embedded web-based control. An upgrade option enables 360-degree continuous azimuth movement. The unit is radome-enclosed.
