About this opportunity

The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research for acquiring two new Philips IntelliVue MX450 Vital Signs Monitors and associated components. This procurement falls under NAICS code 334510 for Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The requirement specifies a comprehensive package including monitors, cables, adapters, ECG equipment, care cuffs, clinical configuration services, and site implementation services with delivery to USAF Academy, Colorado. Interested vendors must respond to seven specific questions covering their authorization status as Philips resellers, manufacturing locations, product modifications, distribution channels, federal contract holdings, delivery timeframes, and general pricing information. The response deadline is July 11, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time, with submissions directed to Contracting Officer Tammy Martin via email.

This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designation and is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are mentioned in the notice. While no specific budget range or award value is provided, the RFI requests general pricing information for market research purposes only, emphasizing that pricing will not be used for evaluation or award decisions. The requirement calls for exactly two complete monitor systems with duplicate quantities of all associated components and accessories, along with installation services including wall channels, mounting hardware, and professional implementation support. The Air Force Academy anticipates this as a brand-name requirement specifically for Philips equipment, suggesting a sole-source or limited competition approach may follow this market research phase.
