About this opportunity

USDA's Radiation Safety Division intends to procure personal dosimetry services—supply, processing, and management of personnel and area radiation dosimeters across approximately 100 USDA locations—and is conducting market research via RFI due June 15, 2026, to validate technical requirements and identify contractor capability before solicitation release. No set-aside applies.

Performance spans CONUS and OCONUS locations with an estimated 300–600 dosimeters issued monthly or quarterly. Contractors must provide NVLAP-approved whole-body or extremity dosimeters using OSL or alternate technology; deliver monthly or quarterly shipments with prepaid return labels; maintain full historical dose-data records; operate a secure, 24/7 online portal for account and dosimeter data management with exportable formats (Excel, CSV, PDF); and deliver NRC-compliant dose reports within 30 days of receiving returned dosimeters. Demonstrated NRC/Agreement State compliance, NVLAP accreditation, and cybersecurity compliance for data transmission and storage are required.

Respondents must submit company information including UEI and business size, capabilities statements, past performance from the last five years, technical approaches for data processing and logistics, and responses to three technical questions addressing scalability, online system capabilities, and alerting processes. Responses are limited to 10 pages in PDF format, due by 2:00 PM EDT June 15, 2026, to gerardo.rivera@usda.gov. This RFI does not constitute a commitment to contract.
